Round Top Remedy

This is what the court house on the square in Round Top looks like when it’s not filled with vendors for the semi-annual Round Top Antiques Fair.

Vanessa is getting herself psyched up for the 18 day event. Lots of salves ready for the Salve-A-Thon.

Gloria who helps organize the Round Top vendors is on the left. Next is Kathy who makes wonderful clothes, then me, and then Keith, who assists the police and fire departments of the town. The Simple Salve and Mane & Glory was giving Keith great relief of the aches and pains in his feet.

Patrick, on the left, was Exhibiting his Mom’s children’s book about a friendly frog named Fred. Producing great children’s books runs in the family, Patrick’s new book should be out shortly.
Click “Apple’s for Fred” to get the book.

These wonderful ladies all got some salving by Vanessa.

Albert and Brendt exchanged Salve for Jam. Brendt and his wife, and their extended family, produce and market great Jams and Pickles at ‘Just Jammin’. The Salve has been helping Brendt’s foot feel better.

Vanessa and I enjoyed having Ken as our neighbor. Ken makes chain mail armor and more. Vanessa and I are both wearing his chain mail bracelets.

The sun sets and lights up the booth. Last December, when the Piney Park Trail of Lights would close for the night, they would play Semisonic’s “Closing Time.”

It again came to mind when adding this photo to the post.

After closing we occasionally got a drink at the Ellis Motel.

On March 31st, the Zapp Hall Prom Night took everything to another level by combining out of the box disco in Disco Alley, while at the back of the event the Texas Unlimited Band expertly covered a veritable buffet of music, including Snoop Dog. Whaaat!! It felt like we landed on another planet.
