Vaughn's Thumbs
On the weekend of April 23rd, we met Vaughn for the first time.
Note that Vaughn’s thumbs are both bandaged.

Vaughn works a metal press in an assembly line. In a freak accident Vaugn’s thumbs were crushed in his pressing machine. He lost the first digit of his right thumb.
Most people would have probably grabbed an antibiotic ointment like Bacitracin or Neosporin out of panic, which could actually have increased the risk for serious infection. But Thanks to a friend and client of ours, Scott, Scott had salve on hand. Scott gave Vaughn salve and Vaughn has been using it ever since.
